CXP Neo Long Cast 3.9m 2 pieces long casting set

The newest member of the CXP Neo series is the LC, long-cast fishing rod with 3.5 lbs casting power.

A key factor in today's modern carp fishing is the distance you want to fish. Spod rods offer flexibility for long-distance feeding, but their stiffness is not suitable for pumping the fish and leads to quick loss of fish. The Neo LC rods offer a favourable solution to this problem. Long casting is not easy, you need enough experience to perform it properly, due to reaching distances of up to 120-150 meters. In addition to casting technique, equipment is a key factor.

The real spine IM10 carbon long-cast rods of the CE Neo series LC will be suitable for this purpose. 3.5lbs versions, with end tackles around 100-110 grams, we can easily reach distances over 100 meters.

The distance of the reel seat from the end of the handle is 60 cm, which provides enough torque for big casts. The lower guide is 50 mm, in which the line runs easily, plus the material of the ring inserts is SIC. To reach the desired distance, you only need a reel of the right size with a large spool.

When choosing a line, the recommended size is 0.25, it is only worth going below this on smooth terrain. It is recommended to use a braided casting lead or the popular slimming Shock Leader. A special feature of the rod is the non-slip bottom handle, which ensures an excellent grip and long casts.

It is also a perfect choice for beginners, as it has a favourable price, but experienced anglers can really take advantage of the rod's true potential.

2-part version, gives the equipment a sufficiently stable backbone. The 3-part version allows for easy portability.

The latest member of the Carp Expert Neo reel series has been paired with the rod. These reels appear with an attractive design at the water's shore. as the Neo Distance 9000 does.

But looks aren't everything, or are they?

The appearance includes the structure of the reel, the huge long-casting spool. We are talking about a diameter of 80 mm, with a height of 40 mm! In order for large casts to work, we need a large mixing guide, which is often 50 in the case of boilie fishing rods.

The material is graphite, on which we can even put a braided line, which we feel is an advantage because we can use a significantly smaller thickness than monofilament while maintaining the tensile strength, and the elongation of a long line casted out will be minimal, so the catch is detected immediately and accurately. Of course, it can also be used with monofilament main line (with the inclusion of a braided casting lead), in the case of feeder fishing, an average line thickness is around 0.20 mm, and in the case of boilie fishing, it is 0.25. The practitioners of the boilie method, in extreme cases, when they have to cast extra big and the conditions allow (track without snags), they go down to a "thickness" of 0.18-0.20 mm.

Thanks to the size of the spool, it pulls in the end tackle very quickly, with one complete turn of the crank, we can roll up 1 meter of line! In the case of such large reels, the line likes to jump under the drum, but not with this reel, as a plastic rim has been placed at the bottom, which eliminates this inconvenience.

Giant brake discs were placed in the large spool, with the help of which a precisely adjustable, non-sticking dosing structure was created.

The reel has 6+1 bearings, which ensure a perfectly smooth running of the reel, we hardly feel any resistance when rolling it up.

Its metal crank is sufficiently strong and solid, but at the same time it remains light. The lightness is characteristic of the whole reel as well, since momentum is very important for the execution of big casts, which we may not be able to present adequately with a heavy reel. Its shaft is 6 mm thick steel.
