Wizard Monster Catfish Rod

There can be no compromises when it comes to fishing for catfish, especially when choosing the right fishing rod. In our all-encompassing predator fishing brand, Wizard, the well-established and widely used Monster series further expands this segment.

Under the guidance and direction of Ferenc Koós, the latest Monster series has received a stronger guide set and reinforcements, making it an even more outstanding tool for catfish anglers.

The Monster (220 cm in length, with a casting weight of 500-700 g), can be the nightmare of catfish, as it has proven itself in the most exposed places during the test period, under dense, bending trees, from the shore, and from a boat as well.

The backbone of the rod, with its soft tip, easily handles the toughest challenges of close combat that are typical for floating under bushes and sliding between trees.

Its power in reserve is sufficient even in unexpected situations, making it suitable for fishing for large sea fish. The use of a 400 g lead is recommended for clonk fishing.

Exceptionally strong SIC guide set: there is no force that it cannot withstand.

The recommended braided line size for the rod is 0.32-1.2 mm.

The rod has a classical reel seat with a screw locking nut. This type has been used for decades due to its simplicity and reliable structure. You can fix your reel to the rod with two hoods and a screw.
If you want to land an absolute giant, you need a high quality tackle. These line guides have a special coating that is resistant to fray. They are durable enough to cope with extreme strain.
