KAMASAKI RUBIN STRONG BOLO ROD

The Kamasaki Rubin Strong Bolo is perfect for tough river conditions and battling large fish! As its name suggests, it's a heavier, stronger fishing rod compared to the regular Rubin Bolo! Its material differs from the Rubin Bolo as well, as the Strong version is made of IM8 carbon, which is much stiffer, resulting in quicker reactions to strikes and a much stiffer and harder rod. Its casting weight ranges from 15 to 35 grams. However, despite this, it's not heavy at all, and its thickness is excellent, with diameters of 20-23-26 mm for the 4-5-6 meter versions.

It features a matte dark green base color with white lettering, silver, and black patterns. The screw-on reel seat is reinforced with black thread. The distance from the bottom of the reel seat to the end of the rod is 41 cm, making it a perfect fit for an average-height angler's forearm. It neither protrudes too much to hinder usage nor is it too short to be uncomfortable to handle. Moving up the rod, you'll notice it's equipped with a very durable guide system, which, thanks to its special design, prevents line twist. It's both lightweight and pleasing to the eye. Its SIC inserts will definitely not damage even the thinnest monofilament lines.

Recommended line thickness for the fishing rod:

Mainline: 0.18 - 0.22 mm

Leader: 0.16 - 0.20 mm

These diameters ensure that the rod's characteristics and character can be fully utilized, but it doesn't mean that the fishing rod is unbreakable this way! Choosing the right line doesn't exempt us from careful and professional usage! Therefore, it's vital to use a landing net with at least a 3-meter handle, and we should avoid holding the rod at an angle where its tip bends too much.

If we decide to "fly" the fish on the hook, we shouldn't pull it too close to us and lift it out, but rather, we should bring it close to the surface while it's still inside the water, and when it's settled, we should lift it firmly. This way, the rod bears most of the load when the tip still forms a large angle with the rod itself! Each length variation has a sliding ring on both the first and second sections, which serve the purpose of allowing the line to better follow the rod body, thereby distributing the load more evenly!

Plate reel seats are often put to bolognese and telematch rods, as they are able to fix the reel perfecty well to these thin rods. Thanks to their design and reliability they are used in other rod types too. Their usage cannot be simpler. You can fix them to your rod in the blink of an eye.
