Wizard Monster River Upose PRO Double MonoBraid Rig – Catfish Leader

This rig is specifically designed for river fishing. It was developed for professional lifted bottom fishing and is also suitable for break-away and drop-off techniques.

Construction: Swivel – monofilament leader – upose float – rattle – main hook – braided secondary hook + knot protectors

Functionality:

The underwater upose float lifts the main hook off the riverbed, positioning the bait at the optimal height when catfish approach. The secondary hook is attached to the main hook with a braided line, allowing the bait to move more naturally in the current.

Float placement: 15–20 cm from the main hook

Float buoyancies:

10g float: small baitfish (up to palm size)

30g float: large baitfish, up to 0.5 kg

Recommended sliding sinker weights:

Soft baits (worms, leeches): 100g

Live baitfish:

Small (palm-sized) baitfish: 200–250g

Larger baitfish: 300–350g

Adjust the weight according to the river current: stronger currents require heavier sinkers.

Additional tips:

For the secondary hook, it is recommended to hook the baitfish through the nose so it faces upstream, ensuring a natural movement in the current and increasing the likelihood of a successful strike. The built-in rattle intensifies the rig’s vibrations, helping to provoke more confident bites.
