Wizard Monster Surface Livebait Double Braided Rig – Catfish Leader

An adjustable double-hook braided leader designed for powerful catfish setups.

Construction: Swivel – braided leader line – rattle – 2 hooks + knot protectors.

The braided section is enclosed in a silicone sleeve, protecting the line from the abrasive, grater-like teeth of catfish. This ensures long-lasting durability while also reducing the risk of tangling.

Primarily developed for break-line and CatMagnet methods, this rig is also excellent for use with longer stupeks (such as our 90 cm version).

Recommended for fishing with a single livebait:

Insert the main hook under the dorsal spine with a baiting needle to allow the baitfish to swim as naturally as possible.

The smaller assist hook can be fixed into the front fin or left to hang freely beside the bait.

For smaller baitfish, if the distance between the hooks is too long, first secure the main hook, then wrap the extra braided line around its shank until the assist hook reaches the desired position.

For maximum hooking efficiency, it is best to place the two hooks in opposite directions on the bait.

This rig can also be used with soft-bodied baits such as worms and leeches.

Thanks to the built-in rattle, it produces a strong underwater sound that helps trigger more confident bites.
