Wizard Monster Upose Mono Bottom Rig – Catfish Leader

This leader is designed for the classic lifted bottom fishing method and is also suitable for break-away and drop-off techniques.

Construction: Swivel – monofilament leader line – upose float – hook + knot protectors.

How it works:

The underwater upose float lifts the hook off the bottom, positioning the bait at the optimal height when the catfish approaches. For best results, place the float 15–20 cm from the hook.

We offer floats with different buoyancies depending on the bait size:

10g float: ideal for small baitfish (up to palm size)

30g float: suitable for larger baitfish, up to 0.5 kg

Recommended sliding sinker weights based on bait size:

Soft baits: 100g is usually sufficient

Small live baitfish (up to palm size): 200–250g

Larger baitfish: 300–350g to prevent the bait from moving the rig

This setup ensures the bait is presented naturally at the right height, improving your chances of a successful catfish catch.
