During my long-time spinning fishing adventures, numerous expectations have arisen regarding what a spinning rod should be capable of.

The most important aspects are not hard to articulate. It's easy to see that we need to cast, retrieve, and feel the lure accurately, sometimes over long distances. After that, we expect the rod to detect the fish's bite, execute efficient hook sets, and confidently play the fish. While every expectation is crucial, if I had to characterize spinning rods by a single, most important feature, it would be sensitivity.

The Bokor Spin rod blanks were selected with this consideration in mind. The modern material is the key to speed and instant transmission. They are sensitive, hence strong, fast, and yet these rods are lightweight. The speed and flexible power are the key to hooking fish and successfully playing them. Just think about how bony a pike or zander's mouth is, not to mention catfish. It's impossible to properly set the hook with a rod that is too light and mushy between the hard bone plates.

Many predators escape because of weak hook sets. Optimal hook sets are crucial for success. During the fight, it's a great feeling to have reserves of power in the rod, to be able to control, lift, and truly play the predators. We never know when we'll encounter a trophy predator, so our rod should be confident. These were the most important considerations for me.

The dense guide spacing along the rod distributes the load from the line to the rod at many points, almost working it as a whole. During stronger casts and, especially, during fights, the blank divided into many points receives the load. The handle part of the rod provides a secure grip, the reel seat, and the connection of the two rod sections exude strength. Based on the experiences of the testing period, I can say that due to their characteristic sensitivity, the various sizes of Bokor Spin rods are usable across a fairly wide range.

The 212 cm long rod has a casting weight range of 07-25 grams. It is recommended for lighter lures, smaller-sized spinners, and plastic lures. It also transmits well the attacks and strikes of smaller predatory fish. With its relatively short length, it is primarily a boat spinning rod. Paired with a smaller, 2500-size reel and 0.10-0.15mm diameter braided line, it forms a harmonious unit. 

The 232 cm long spinning rod can be used effectively both from shore and from a boat.

The 10-30 gram casting weight rather indicates the size of applicable lures than the rod's performance. We can effectively handle medium-sized spinners, wobblers with more intense action with it. The rod is recommended to be paired with a 2500-3000-size reel and 0.15-0.17mm diameter line. It's a good choice for pike spinning, wobbler fishing, and plastic lure fishing for perch, and hunting for asp.

The 272 cm rod, with a casting weight of 15-40 grams, is excellent for shore spinning with medium to heavier lures. It can be used with a medium-sized reel and 0.17-0.20mm braided line. It can be a reliable companion even in waters hiding big pikes. With it, we can safely play trophy zander and unexpected catfish. Easily executable, we can effectively catch asp with long casts using it.
