Learning more about Nase and Rubin Bolo Rods

Nowadays, it is not easy for a new Bolognese rod to make a name for itself. It should be either at a reasonable price or of outstanding quality to win anglers’ sympathy. Unfortunately, these two criteria rarely meet.

Energo Team’s Rubin Bolo has been widely used for years not just by Hungarian but foreign anglers, too. However, ET Nase Bolo, which made its debut in spring 2015, is considered a novelty.

Rubin Bolo is a real workhorse. Nase Bolo, on the other hand, is a quality
Bolognese rod with professional features and a ridiculously low price.

The Nase Bolo has been my loyal friend in many fishing adventures. Its 5 m version helped me a lot to fish deep rivers with strong currents, using a float rig. The 5 m Nase Bolo is considered a light fishing rod, it weighs 232 gr. Thus, it can be held comfortably over a long day of fishing.

It is made of IM8 carbon.

The ultra light single foot SIC guides hardly mean any extra weight. Thanks to their strength, you can use them with 0,14-0,20 mono lines.

A quality guide set comprising of 7 SIC guides.

The butt of the 5 m rod is only 20,3 mm in diameter, so it is a decidedly slim rod. Although it is a light rod, it is also stiff enough. Its extra fast action allows quick hook sets and reactions to bites.

The rod’s extra fast action, which is a big advantage when setting the
hook and playing the fish. It also improves casting.

A trophy-sized roach, which was pulled quickly to the shore by the rod.

Nase Bolo’s traditional plate reel seat suggests reliability.

You can fix the position of the reel quickly by pushing the button on the reel seat.

The reel sticks to the rod.

Nase Bolo can easily perform the function of controlling the bait and holding back the float. It becomes our elongated forearm, part of our body.

Controlover the float and the bait is the crux of Bolognese fishing.

Big bait big fish.

The inhabitants of the canal could not resist the bait. Here’s a nice crucian carp.

My favorite floats when you have to hold back the bait lightly.

Rubin Bolo, which can be found among the offers of Energofish Ltd. for a long time, enjoys great popularity. Its IM7 carbon performs two important functions at the same time. On the one hand, it is responsible for the low weight of the rod. On the other hand, it makes it resistant to bruises.

You can use them in rocky places without worrying about knocks. Bringing palm sized or even bigger fish to hand is not a problem for the rod.

The rod has hard but light SIC guides.

The removable butt cap helps you take the dirt off your rod.

A Perfect Match: ET Wizard Classic 2,10 and Wizard Spin 3000
Published: 2015. October 19. | Source: Halmos Mihály | News

Under the colorful coat of this rod, you find a true workhorse. It is indeed a slim rod made of IM8 carbon with enough power in reserve. The neoprene handle is a delight to touch. During fishing, the rod becomes your elongated forearm, which helps you detect every shy bite and vibration of your lure. Although it is a strong fishing rod, it is not heavy at all. Yes, I am talking about the latest spinning rod family of Energo Team, namely, Wizard Classic Jig and Drop Shot rods. The...

Ultra Light Dream: ET Wizard Drop Shot Spinning Rod and Wizard Spin Reel

In my previous article, I mentioned that Drop Shot rods are one of my favorites, and their performance cannot be overestimated. This might sound biased, but trust me; I know what I’m talking about. After months of using these rods, I can safely say that they satisfy all my needs when it comes to ultra light spinning. Fishing with little soft baits cannot be more enjoyable, and, of course, let’s not forget about wobblers either. I’m not exaggerating –...

Bolognese again! The New Tanaka Bolognese has Arrived

This year was full of surprises for devoted bolognese anglers. As I’m a bolognese angler too, I feel lucky to have got to know two excellent bolognese rods within six months. We have just introduced Nase Bolo, and now we have another rod that makes its debut. I can safely say that this is a magnificient rod too. Its price category reflects its unique features.  If I had to rank Energo Team’s rods I would definitely put Blade-Tanaka-Nase bolognese rods to the first three...

The Champion family

The new Champion family has recently been introduced to the public. On the bags you find Szilárd Szilvási’s name, so we asked the European champ what we should know about these products.   CHAMPION GROUNDBAITS I use mostly my own groundbaits, believe it or not, even in fishing tournaments! It is the micro granules that make Champion Mix unique. Through a special process I’ve managed to create a groundbait that consists of mostly...
