The Mustad Dentanato Bottom Hooks, designed for threading cut and dead baits, was developed in collaboration with experts in slow fishing and baiting in the Mediterranean Sea.

The bottom hook features a straight eye designed to remain vertical when dropping the bait to the bottom, unlike the Dentanato Top Hook, which has an upward-facing eye for sneling. Each hook is sealed with epoxy resin at the ring to protect the line from pinch points.

Mustad has incorporated its AlphaPoint technology into this hook, where a slimmer and sharper hook point profile is achieved without losing strength. Anglers can easily carry a much more effective hook set for striking fish, requiring very little effort from the user.
